Scholarship Information

Below you will find the guidelines for scholarships this season. Due to the size of the league nationally, we are only allowed 40 scholarships this year. Each program will have a predetermined number of scholarships.

Military Scholarships

 

Military Scholarship

Participants qualify for the military scholarship if they are a child of Active Duty, Retired, or Reserve members of the military.

The military scholarship covers the $110 #GameChanger Club fee. It is permissible for PGA Coaches to collect the balance of the program fee if chosen to do so. For example, if the total program fee is $310, the parent will receive an online coupon code for a discount of $110 and will pay $200 to join the team.

Financial Assistance

 

Financial Assistance Scholarship

Financial need is defined by players who meet one of two criteria in the following financial means test:

  • Financial need:
    • Qualifies for free or reduced school lunch
    • The child attends a Title 1 school
  • Extenuating circumstances (examples below):
    • Parent/Guardian's recent loss of employment
    • Natural disaster victim
    • English as a second language
    • Homelessness
    • Fleeing conflict situation

From the parent/guardian’s point of view, this is a full scholarship that covers the player’s total program fee, including the $110 #GameChanger Club fee, at 100%. They pay nothing as the total program fee is waived. PGA Coaches are limited to a maximum of 20 players per program, and 40 players for the calendar year.
